We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App includes:
Information you provide, such as your name, username, profile photo, and phone number (required for SMS sign‑in). You may optionally provide an email address if you use email/password sign‑in. You also provide content you upload (for example, photos, videos, captions, comments). We do not request age, gender, or other demographic data.
Information our servers automatically collect when you access the App, such as your native actions that are integral to the App, including liking, commenting, or replying to a post, as well as other interactions with the App and other users via server log files.
We do not collect any financial information.
We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device's camera, contacts, and storage. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.
If you sign in, we store your phone number with your profile. When you enable notifications, we store a push token and your device type (iOS or Android) to deliver notifications. We do not collect precise location data.
We request permission to send you push notifications related to your account and app activity (for example, meal reminders). Some categories may be enabled by default after you grant permission. You can change these preferences in Settings at any time or disable notifications in your device settings.
If you choose to find friends, we will request access to your address book and upload phone numbers to our servers solely to check which of your contacts use Biteclub. We do not store your address book; the numbers are used for one-time matching and then discarded.
Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the App to:

If you interact with other users of the App, those users may see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity, including posting content, commenting, liking, or following.
When you post comments, contributions or other content to the App, your posts may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside the App in perpetuity.
We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.
We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services or promotions.
The mobile app does not use browser cookies. We store your authentication session on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage) so you stay signed in. We do not sell your personal information or use your data for third‑party advertising or cross‑app tracking.
The App may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us. Once you have used these links to leave the App, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information.
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.
You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by:
